The original line-up was formed back in 1995 with Brian and Al Campbell and Pete Davies all ex UK Subs under the name of Seal Club. But after only two rehearsals Al and Pete both jacked it in.

The next line-up set off for Europe - Brian lead & vocals Damian bass and Steve drums with 22 gigs in Germany Holland and Belgium. In 1997 came the release of the four track Scared of Lisa EP written by Brian with Damian bass and Baz on drums recorded in Scotland. In 1998 all three band members changed their names by deed pole to Slutcher - Bri Slutcher Damian Slutcher and Carlos Slutcher.

Fifteen drummers and three bass players later were into 1999 going to be the year Slutch did great things, then in April 1999 original member Damian Slutcher decided he could no longer give 100% to the band due to other commitments. Everything was going well until Bernie was found dead in his one bedroom flat, Bernie had hung himself, and it later came out that this happy go lucky man was a manic depressive with a severe drink problem. After yet more auditions another line up was put together.

November 1999 yet another line up a new improved Slutch are now preparing for the release of their CD mini album Deep Scars Heal, gigs are planned. Bri Slutcher thought the worse was over until one day in September 1999 one week before the band were due to do a five-day tour of Holland. Bri walked into his rehearsal room to find the other two members of band taking "Class A drugs" both members were instantly sacked and once again Bri Slutcher was bandless.

New line up Bri Slutcher - Lead Guitar & Vocals, Gaz Fielding - Drums (ex Nobody's Heroes), Sid Monk - Guitar/Vocals (ex City Rockers), Bro Bass/vocals (ex City Rockers).

A new album will be released in 2001 called Vandalight, a tour of Europe and the UK (check out the Latest page for dates confirmed) will follow shortly after to promote the album, the band will finish up back in the UK to play a string of dates at the end of April/early May 2001. After that the band will tour America if all goes well watch this
